Ebay starts a neighborhood

My Space and Facebook my have cornered the social networking market, but Ebay is looking for a piece of the pie. Ebay will launch its own social networking website called neighborhood to try to lure customers which have drifted away. There neighborhood social networking site was launched on tuesday. Neighborhoods is a social network that lets members post photos, write reviews and discuss nearly any topic like Apple, pets, and "Star Wars" with other users.

My take on the Neighbhorhood website is that ebay is trying to make shopping more interactive. Similar to being at the mall. The only downfall to this is that the popular Myspace already thought about this idea years ago.
